Visual Archive website
I designed and developed a visual archive platform that enables users to explore design movements and creative styles through a curated, searchable interface. The site adopts a modern editorial aesthetic, combining bold typography, high-contrast imagery, and structured spacing to create a visually engaging yet highly navigable experience. Built using Flask, JavaScript, and a dynamic data layer, the platform supports real-time search, filtering, and detailed content views.
This project explores an alternative approach to studying visual culture—one that emphasizes morphological connections rather than rigid historical categories. Instead of organizing movements strictly by time period, the platform allows users to identify visual relationships across eras and mediums. For example, users can discover unexpected parallels between Metaphysical Art and contemporary digital aesthetics such as Weirdcore.
By structuring content around attributes like style, mood, and theme, the archive enables more intuitive discovery and comparison. Features such as search, tagging, and modular content layouts are designed to reduce friction in the creative process, helping users quickly surface relevant references and accelerate ideation.
